Skoura's lovely Unesco-secured palmeraie (palm woods) has been named 'Desert garden of 1000 Palms'. Under the green covering, a 15-mile interwoven of plots are watered by a sharp, extremely old khettara (underground water system arrangement) of waterways, switches and bolts. In excess of 100 bird species prosper here, just as in excess of 20 date assortments. Overnight in a pisé (slammed earth) guesthouse and investigate the palmeraie by walking bike or 4x4 .
